Rescue ships on the Thargoid war

How could i help them? They offer no missions, no passengers to carry them out for safer planets.

Why are they marked on the galaxy map?

I dont understand if there are any special use in them.

I did some commerce delivering some materials they bought but i dont know if i can do more in those ships appart from refuel and repair my ship-srv.

I still dont posses any thargoid ship to try to fight against them but i would like to participate in some non offensive helping mission. Any idea?

They are set up as destinations for rescue missions (escape pods for cargo, passengers for people) originating at the stations/bases under attack.

So, if you want to help, go to one of the attacked systems, dock at a station under attack, load up with mission cargo and ferry them out to the specified rescue ship.

And no, it's not quite as easy as it might seem.

Shame on me, lol. Thanks for the help. Yeah i will go today to take care of those poor people .
Lets make them survive some more days till the thargoids get the inner bubble :p

Yep yesterday i saved some lost souls that were gonna irreversibly die on fire. I gave them some clothes and left on the rescue ships at the mercy of the wise and fair universe politics.

There are some bases under attack specially on planet surface that dont have any spot to land, so those ones dont hold any mission for me appart from the joy of cosmos travelling to find at last time that it was unuseful :p.

A question: Appart from the rewards and satisfaction in helping the cosmos population will Frontier give us a badge, some skin or 50 credits to spend on the galactic bar or something as a reward for battling versus the Deadly Flower Ships?
Or the badge will be to survive? :)

A bit of encouragement: I did 4 rescue missions tonight hauling out refugees. Got interdicted 5 times. Managed to boost away 4 times. Submit, run silent, boost, cruise. Seems to work. Find systems under attack near perimeter of the incursion, go to nearest station, collect passengers from passenger lounge (this works like missions), and deliver them to a rescue ship specified in mission and shown on system map. It pays well too. ;) I used a stock type 6.
