Research limpets - worth it?

I've got them equipped atm, but thinking of dumping them on the carrier and swapping them out for an AFMU and a SCA. Then I can let my EcploraCourier go on its' merry way to a planet I want to map, whilst I toddle off to the fridge and get another beer.

Whaddya reckon?

Depends really, since all they produce are useless low-value Samples, 1 ton at a time - and they don't even work on all lifeforms.

If you enjoy the prospect of being able to do it (change of pacing/fun), keep the Research Limpet Controller.
But otherwise, SCA provides everyday convenience and an AFMU belongs into every ExploraConda anyway.

Not actually. Only as a part of roleplay just like xeno scanner.
But, on the other hand, there are Anomaly Particles somewhere and nobody has still found the anomaly that drops them
