Reshade 3+ Possible in HMD with Elite?

Can reshade be used with ED in VR, and/or would it make a difference?

I used reshade in 2D, but curious if possible in VR.

Since hmd's no longer register as a screen reshade does not work.

And isn't going to anytime soon.

What he said ---^ In the forum on the Reshade web site the developer has confirmed that the app is not compatible with VR and he has no plans to change this. :(

Interesting on the Reshade forum post it notes "no joy" on the Rift; but Vive??

Note, I am a vive user myself.

Yeah it's too bad that reshade will not work in VR anymore. I remember using it for VR with pre-release oculus drivers(pre0.7) last year and it made scenery simply beautiful, especially contrast and sharpness, which is a big problem on todays VR as far as I'm conerned for ED.

yea, interestingly, on the monitor display, reshade runs and looks great, but in the HMD simply not there.... i really notice that washout in IL2 BOS, where in the HMD everything is quite bright/washed, but on the monitor the reshade contrast/sharpness looks great.

One thing when folks broadcast vids noting gaming view while they are in VR, it looks much better on the monitor (OSB recording) than what it does in the HMD. Thus for folks without VR (myself not too long ago), what you see on YouTube is not what you will see in the HMD. Too bad OSB could not record true HMD view to let folks know what the VR user is actually seeing.
