I agree, RE 2 was my favorite RE game, and the remake is excellent, just like a new modern game - but with the great RE2 setting.
Never played RE games by this one looks really good. I may actually get it for PC.

User reviews and general feedback treat it like second coming. It's safe to say that it's pretty good. I'll get it eventually, if only for nostalgia.
Heard the controls for PC are a bit arkane and annoying. I'm always wary of these ports to PC myself, been bitten by them often enough.
Might get it in a sale

Seriously it can be very handy for a large number of games in PC (No Mans Sky, Witcher etc etc).
Resident Evil 2 sold 252,848 retail copies for the PS4 in Japan on release week, which made them Nr.2 in retail sales right behind Kingdom Hearts III which sold 610,077 retail copies for PS4 on release week in Japan. Impressive numbers. XBox1 only released both games digitally, no sales numbers available.
Since those numbers are for Japan it wouldn't matter anyway, as far as I remember XBox has a very low popularity there.
Edit. Yep. Found some numbers, from 2017 so a bit outdated. But it shows general trend. Sony - 5 million consoles. MS - under 100 thousand. That's 50:1![]()

I liked RE 2, still have the original copy, if they gave it to me free. I'd play it. Not paying to play the same game again.
