Ship Builds & Load Outs Resistance stacking?

I was looking over the Fandom Wiki entry on shield resistances here. I had long suspected this was out of date as the calculations did not add up, but just now I pushed my kinetic resists above 75% (see attachment). How does this really work? Is there just a cap on values over 75%? Likewise, a simulated build in Coriolis does not show this so-called cap.

This topic seems much relevant for the resistances builds.
I've been able to reach 73.5 thermal but 86.7 for kinetic in Coriolis

from testing a while back on resistances, percentage wise, once over 60% the modifier starts to drop off. I would look more at the actual numbers in edsy or coriolis for "theory building"
