Resource Extraction Sites are now so boring, why?

16 times I traveled between 3 low to high resource extraction sites looking to do my usual bounty hunting in my Python.

16 times all I see is Adders, Sidewinders, Vipers and all the other small ships not worth my time.
What a broken mess.
Are Pirates so redundant now that spawns are for new players flying starter ships?
Why do I get the same small ships in every instance?

I want Clippers, Pythons, Drop ships, Vultures, big ships.
Even mix them in with the small ships........ Nothing.

4 times not even a single ship spawned, just rocks for as far as I could see.
Also, mining Sidewinders? Really, how effective is that?

Please sort the instance spawns to match a players ship/combat rating.
Just plain boring and makes me start looking for something else to play.

Yep, either it is a bug that they haven't been able to fix or a clever ploy to get more players trading...

Whole BH system and RES sites are broken and have been for a long time, FD really need to get this sorted, some SJA TLC for dangerous opponents that run endlessly AI along with mechanics that actual portray bounty HUNTING and not just flying around space looking for baddies has been needed for a long time.]
.
RES sites are basically like robbers turning over donut shops and wondering one they are ganked to oblivion by a million cops
.
To answer you directly I think they turned them up earlier when they saw BH was silly and not worth the money then now they turned it down with the idea that PP would keep us engaged..........
.
releasing more broken mechanics doesn't make it a better game

Big ships are there - you just have to search and find them.

Did this, I flew 20 distance North, South, East and West from nav point location...nothing
If it's more searching than that then it's ridiculous.

before when big ships spawned, they would come to me and scan. Now nothing. Not even any laser fire in the distance of big ships... I get there and it's some lame Viper or Cobra at best, which takes less than 10 seconds to kill.

Holy balls, it's almost like these things would be better for basic miners or something. Like, these are Sites for Resource Extraction and not a CZ or something similar.
.
What kind of stupid idea is this? Bounty hunters having to hunt down and interdict bounties in SC instead of swimming around the asteroids, mouth open, catching salmon like a bear?
.
Seriously, this system is just complete rubbish isn't it?

Miners can mine anywhere. RES' are simply high concentrations of miners, thus high concentration of pirates (versus none at all outside them). If you're a miner and you got a RES to mine, you're an idiot.

As for hunting down bounties, sure. Show me one worth spending an hour hunting... in fact show me a mechanic that allows me to effectively hunt them and not just sit in supercruise waiting for some adder to spawn so I can make my 17,000cr...

Yeah, you go hunting bounties in an Anaconda and interdict people. Have fun.

Meanwhile everyone else goes where the Hull Integrity will not be compromised just by initiating combat.

I hate much of the execution of ED and power play and anything that any other player would have a gripe about. The change that made bounty hunting more about SC interdiction rather than RES farming was one of the best improvements this game has made.
.
If you want the old RES experience, go to a CZ. If you want to bounty hunt, drop at USS/SSS or interdict in SC.

I was in a high Intensity RES the other night, and got an endless stream of pythons, dropships, clippers. The cops where there too (with an Anaconda) so picking up bounties was like taking candy from a baby. I made 1.8MCr in under an hour, including one bounty at 225,000Cr !

Several times since, I've dropped into the exact same RES and found zilch. A few Cobras maybe. Ooh - a Sidewinder. Kill me.

I get the feeling that the high and low intensity just refers to the likelihood that you'll instance one of the payday instances, not that the overall intensity is higher. I could be wrong.

As it stands, there's literally no risk in bounty hunting in a Vulture - it's rare I even get shot at, never mind dropping shields. I've had a few memorable battles with Pythons, but those tend to be the military spec ones in conflict zones, not your pirates.

I agree that bounty hunting should be more about the 'hunting' part. Chasing a quarry down across several systems. Ok there are missions that are like this, but they tend to go overboard in terms of what you have to tackle at the end - an Anaconda with a wing of support ships maybe.

Wrong.
CZ is not for bounties, pirates don't go there, pirates go to RES.
My issue is that the spawn types are broken, it's not a new thing FD has done, it is a broken mess.
Are you implying that pirates should only fly sidewinders, vipers, adders and Cobras?
Or are you implying FD can do no wrong?

No offense but you kind of remind me of a car salesman selling me a rust eaten car but stating it has factory option ventilation.

They are now so bad I am back trading again. I now hate 1.3. I hate PP, I hate all the other changes in 1.3. I hate the bugs that have not been fixed.

Explain why I get nothing but Clippers, Pythons and Drop ships after about 50 relogs?
By your logic they shouldn't be there but clearly FD intended for them to be.

Yep so am I. There is more activity trading than in a RES...

one of the hotfixs broke them or 1.3 really was that broken

Yes but they fix important things first! Thats how we got PP, then there will be CQC or whatever the CoD in space is called, the next big fix - and this may take a while - is the change of haircolour of Princess Smurf - and then maybe they fix the really broken things...

So 16 resets is not enough..... Oh Lordy ..... Well at least there is hope for me yet.

It's all random buddy. You could do it twice, you could spend all day doing it and not get a thing. I tend to get absolutely empty RES' than anything though "working as intended".
