Restart my career

so, I just startet my career as a space traveler and got stuck in hyperdrive 2 hours away from nearest system. Ran out of fuel or something (please dont judge).

How can i restart my career?

Go to options and do CLEAR SAVE

also, forums has a few newbie tutorialsmade by players, look for them and if you have any doubt fire away, usually you get a dozen reply to even the most obscure issue

If you press 4 there's a self-destruct command at the bottom of the 3rd(?) tab.

haven't died anymore since that mistake

Ah you got it good - Self-destruct in the last menu on the right UI systems panel. Don't worry, it will get you your ship back if you have enough credits for its insurance. It happened to me in the Sidewinder. Only cost about 7k or so. You get back upgrades too if you got enough insurance. Learn now to not fly to Sectors which have no planets with low fuel but more importantly stations to refuel at before you check you can come back out again. Say half fuel left to return just in case. Else refuel halfway before completing your destination. Beware, some systems that are classed as Unknown Info are not populated plus some refinery platforms do not have fuel!
Don't be put off and don't even try to reach another system in SC as it needs hyperspace to actually load all the data (a loading screen).
