As a detail-oriented player, I’m really happy to see that Planet Coaster 2 finally includes proper restaurants! In Planco 1, we always had to imagine what the inside looked like, so this is a huge step forward — thank you for that!
That said, I do miss a few customization options with the new restaurants. First of all, I find the counter a bit too small. It would be great if one restaurant could have multiple counters, as is often the case in real theme park restaurants.
I also think it wouldn’t be a huge task to allow for more customization when it comes to the food icons. At the moment, we only have a handful of preset dishes like lasagna or salad. Sure, you can rename them and change the ingredients to imagine it’s, say, a Mexican restaurant — but it would be great to have a proper icon gallery to match the dish type or theme.
Additionally, it would be cool to adjust guest preferences a bit more — for example, whether they’re okay with a quick snack or prefer to sit down in a themed restaurant and spend a bit more money. In Disneyland, it’s a real decision whether you grab a Mickey-shaped pizza on the go or dine in a fully themed restaurant. Having that kind of dynamic could add a lot of depth.
Again, I’m really grateful that restaurants are finally in the game — there’s so much potential here, and I’m excited to see where it goes!
