Restrict interdictions to one per system

I just got interdicted 4 times in one system while supercruising to the station. Three interdictions were back to back, meaning as soon as I eluded one, the next one started instantly. The forth interdiction occurred about 30 seconds later. Yes, I had accepted many missions to the same destination but do you really expect us to only have one active mission at any time? Am I expected to submit and drop to face 3 anacondas at the same time? I have been interdicted multiple times in one system before but it is beyond ridiculous now. I recommend restricting this to a single interdicter per system.

On another trip I was interdicted while I had no cargo on board (and no courier missions) so I submitted to see what they would do. They immediately opened fire without asking for anything. (Bad interdiction coding?)

The times I dropped to defend myself were a pointless waste of my time because the attacking anacondas had infinite chaff and when I finally got their shields down they supercruised away and then interdicted me again with full shields. What a stupid waste of time.

Please just limit this to one attacker per system. At least be reasonable about it.

I think my record is 24. What are you going to do with player interdiction?

You take multiple take missions there's a risk involved, the more you take the higher the risk, artificially restricting it to 1 systems seems a bit....unlikely. I would restrict it by NPC, if they interdict twice and you get away there's a much reduced chance the will try again, but multiple missions mean being chased by multiple NPC's, that's the negative side of that activity.

Definitely a bad suggestion - some of us take those missions to farm the opposition for mats ;) The very idea of letting them escape and re-attack ...

Railgun the FSD, or missiles to the drives, and then they won't run away before you can kill them.

A standard chaff launcher has ten uses, which will last 5 minutes (longer than most fights). A high-cap launcher has 15 and will last 7.5 minutes (definitely longer than most fights). And that's if you're continuously on target so that they chaff as soon as the launcher reloads. They don't need infinite chaff to have enough to last one fight. (And they're Anacondas, so at short to medium range you can still hit them quite a bit through the chaff)

If it was limited to one enemy per system, then you could just jump directly to the destination system, and be guaranteed only one enemy regardless of how many missions you had. Identical missions like that take much less time than missions to different systems, so you'd be getting several times the pay for no greater risk.

Am I expected to submit and drop to face 3 anacondas at the same time?
They're only the pirate/assassin type of Anaconda, so they're lightly engineered at best. It's certainly possible to build a ship which can take on three at once.

I agree that the NPC should not be like some rubber band interdiction until they gets destroyed, I think that if you successfully evade the interdiction, like your suggested two times, they should give up and this should then be counted as a win for you, ie cue the next lucky pirate to try and take you down.

Submit and low wake/high wake is considered evading interdiction.

Wow on the 24 interdictions in a row! I get mildly upset after 4 of the same dude...after 8 I want to throw something, and that is the most I have had before finally reaching the station, by the same NPC.

Same NPC will not interdict you again in the same system if you beat the mini-game. So basically ... you're doing it wrong :)

Kill them, farm the mats, cash in the vouchers.

Win win win win!

Please don't make the game any easier.. I have enough trouble finding anything to interdict me in this game. Lol

It's not even of you evade the interdiction, if they are successful and you still escape most bad guys would tend to stop after a couple of tries, they obviously haven't got the ship or fire power to take you out or catch you and most people would give up after a couple of tries.

And yes I counted them, this was in the days when you got interdicted near the station it pushed you back about 50ls, so a lot of the time was me being interdicted just as I was about to drop out near the station and getting dragged back. I was relatively new then, these days I would just HW out to another system and come back in to see what happens. We learn, it was that incident that had me equipping mines on my Type 6 when they were still useful.

No.

Nah - Interdictors should have charges. Each interdictor should use systems energy to completely recharge and reuse.

I do use in my combat ship for delivery missions. I use a transport ship outfitted for cargo.

I do not need to farm mats, all my ships are fully engineered.

The problem is that some people want to get interdicted multiple times. Someone said they were interdicted 24 times. How about seven at the same time? I have survived that, although with that many, some were attacking each other (heh) with system defense ships eventually coming in and that made it easier if you were playing it smart and knew how to stay in range of only the ship you wanted to take on at that time...

;'{P~~~
