Buildings & Attractions Restroom Building + Restroom Rating

Multiple people have already suggested adding restrooms to the game. However, I would like to go more in depth, which I don't remember anyone else doing yet.

Restrooms are important, obviously. If added to the game, restrooms would become another vital facility necessary for a successful park. However, with limited building space, fitting in every other vital facility is enough of a challenge. It may prove somewhat frustrating to add in another vital facility into the mix. Granted, restrooms aren't very big, but on islands such as Isla Pena, every inch counts.

To remedy this potential issue, the addition of restrooms should also include another guest need, a "restroom" need, alongside food, drink, fun, and shopping. The restroom would have a 4/4 restroom rating. The restaurant, fast food, and bar would have 3/4 restroom rating. Every other guest facility would either have 2/4, 1/4, or 0/4 restroom rating.

As a result, the player will need to construct a restroom if they want to maximize their restroom rating. However, if the player lacks the space for a restroom, their rating will not suffer too much as long as they have another facility that has a restroom rating, such as the restaurant.

Of course. I mean, how many restaurants or fast food places have you been to that DIDN'T have bathrooms? However, what I'm getting at is that if restrooms are added I want them to have a purpose, hence the addition of the "restroom" need for guest satisfaction. But at the same time, I don't want them to be the only building that fulfills that purpose, hence why the food and drink buildings would also have a higher restroom rating.

I get it now.:)

But the restroom building itself is roughly the same footprint as a large substation.

They could have small bathroom building about the size of a small substation and a large size the size of a large substation.

Also going to post this in every related building thread. Change guest satisfaction to match hotel capacity, as in make it a limit that buildings add to as opposed to having to spam buildings where need is created. That way we can place buildings wherever we want without having to deal with the frustrating system we currently have.

First, thank you Frontier for adding restrooms!

Although restrooms have been added, there's one important aspect that's been left out, hence why I'm reviving this thread. Other guest facilities should contribute to the guests' restroom need as well. The four other facilities that should contribute to restroom rating are the fast food, restaurant, bar, and bowling alley. The former three will have a 2 star restroom rating, while the bowling alley will have a 1 star restroom rating.

The restroom is unique because it's the only guest facility that contributes to only one guest need. Hence, if too many other buildings also fulfilled that need, the restroom would become redundant. That is why I've chosen only four other guest facilities. I chose the four that made the most sense.

The reason why there's no guest facility with a 3 star restroom rating is because the restroom shouldn't be replaceable nor completely necessary. What I mean is that, if you're struggling for space, omitting a restroom won't completely sabotage your restroom rating. However, if you wish to maximize your restroom rating, there's no substitute.
