Retire a Cmdr.

I’d vote for the option to retire my Cmdr. "William H. Bonney". my new Cmdr. would be "William H. Bonney II", and when he retires, my new Cmdr. would be "… Bonney III" and so on and so forth.

An example would be, I keep the ships and credits minus some inheritance tax’s of xyz %. Engineers would be reset but gain quicker due to ‘family ties’. I would lose all reputation with any faction but would gain quicker via the family ties thing which also goes for the superpowers. I’d also like to see opinion of joining just the Empire or Federation as being more explicate the further the blood line goes.

Thoughts? Provoking or not.

I always thought that by the time we got to a thousand years from now, and in command of space and other systems, we'd all just be identified by numbers. It just makes sense.
