I tried going to the bubble nebula yesterday. Turned around not even half-way because i realised that it would actually take a good amount of time. I don't think I'll ever try something like this again, unless there was something really cool looking waiting for me.
Everybody has a different point where that wall lies, that's for sure.
Before even trying Sag A, I figured I'd get some test runs under my belt - first couple hundred LY, then several 1k LY trips - what I call day trips because I can get out there and back, with extensive scanning, all in 1 day play session.
So I figured was ready for my multi-day trip and went out on 2k LY trip. Spent 1.5 days going out and figured I would turn back and spend maybe 1 day getting back. So far so good.
But made mistake of thinking my damage ship was a challenge, and decided to see if I could go 4k LY out with my damaged ship. That's apparently where my wall is lol.
1-3 days I can do, anything longer and start going stir crazy. The dumb thing is I have two other accounts - one I bought for my wife that hasn't started playing yet, and another I bought just to support FD and make my explorer only account.
Of course, what do I do but be dumb and use my main account to go deep space. Although since I have no CR behind sidewinder on my explorer account, I should level that up first. That way I can do mini 1-2 days of exploring with that account and still have peace of mind being in 'civilized' space with other account.
