Return of the JP Raptor Pen

Agree. Honestly it should be more than a decoration. We should be able to put raptors or other small carnivores in there. They need to put an activate button on it if you click on it that will lower a cow inside like the mosa shark feeder.

That would remove any reason to meet their habitat and territory needs.

I don't mind it as a functionless set piece, but if they bring it back I want it to serve some kind of function. Something I can put a problem child in to cool off, they can climb out if the power goes out, and I can take them back out of when I'm done renovating their usual digs out in the park.

But what would you do with it? You put animals inside and then... what exactly? You can't see what's inside after all... is it suppose to be a storage box for small amimals?
Ideally, they could add a viewing area inside of it (like in the movie, as Hammond says to Ellie when Grant is talking to Muldoon).
It would be incredible.

I'd go with the explanation from Jurassic Park: The Game.

The raptor pen was one of several quarantine pens for the island. Only stuck there because they'd managed an escape prior to that (And it places the former raptor enclosure as where Grant and the kids find the eggs with the tiny raptor footprints in the movie).

Having it a holding facility/quarantine for smaller predators, letting you lock them in to hold them for medical and similar.

Perhaps adding a larger holding pen similar to the Indominus paddock from Jurassic World (Which was designed for the same purpose as temporary housing while awaiting a permanent enclosure to be ready for them).
