Return route from Pho Aoscs AA-A H1? (Mount Aoscs)

Greetings CMDRs,

After days of searching with no success, I give up. Does anyone know the return route from this system? I've found the way there, but can't figure out how to get back, and I've read this is one you can return from.

Thanks in advance.

If you set your Galaxy Map filter to show visited stars, you should be able to see the route you took there, assuming you're using the same machine. One little tip: if you hover the mouse over a system, you should see orange 'hat'-like symbols appear over some nearby stars - these indicate systems which you have the jump range to reach from the system you have the mouse cursor over.

The issue is, I have to use a Neutron Star to get there, but I can't use the same one going back because of the distance between the systems. And I did try the orange 'hat' trick but again, the systems in this region are too far apart for me to see the other 'hats'.

I don't know the system from my own experience, but this happened to me when I tried to reach [HD 40064]. It appeared there was no way back with my ship's range, but with a +100% jumponium injection, it was actually possible. But I had to drain my tank first. Took 14 hours of flying around with my FSD at 30km/s, but with my fuel almost gone, the mass of my ship had reduced just enough to reach a white dwarf, and with another injection a scoopable star. Barely, but it worked.

If there are any stars around that you can almost reach, this might be worth a shot. Also, drop everything else that might weigh you down. Like cargo, limpets, etc.

You can read my HD 40064 story [here] if you like.

Edit: Don't forget to occasionally change instances to update your jump range. To do so, just exit and re-enter frameshift space.

Edit 2: Actually, that system is reaaally close to where I am right now, what a coincidence. It's like a stone's throw away from my current position. I might be getting curious... What's your current maximum jump range (without boosts or injections)?

I've looked into this method as well, but the problem is I can't find any systems that are within my Grade 3 boost range or any Neutron stars/White Dwarfs to use on the return journey.

My Anaconda has a 80.23LY range at full fuel and 83.83 at optimum fuel.

If you can hold out a bit, maybe a Fuel Rat with a carrier can help out? Just a suggestion.
Great suggestion, but I don't plan on waiting that long. I also am looking forward to getting an FC, so if I haven't figured out a "conventional" way by then, I'll just return with my own FC and do it. :)

The next one would be Pho Aoscs AA-A h3 174 lys away, that's too far.

I'd recommend asking the guys of the galactic mapping project, it's their entry so they most likely know a route.

Or it was done at a time where double neutron charging was a thing...

The closest (known) system to your postition is Pho Aoscs AA-A h0 167 lys away.

So emptying your fuel tank to the point that leaves just enough fuel to make a full range jump might get you there.
Yup, I found that one. As far as I can tell, Pho Aoscs AA-A H0 is the only system you can jump into and out of Pho Aoscs AA-A H1 and requires a Grade 3 boost on a very high jump range ship. And as Thrawn identified, the return trip is problematic due to lack of scoopables.

And I did wonder if it had been done with double boosting, but I can't even find any neutron stars someone could have used to do it.

o7, did you find your way back finally? I'm just a jump from mount aoscs but after reading your post (2 years old) i doubt i will dare to make it

That's a 2 year necro.

As been said, it's not possible to return by ship unless:
  • one has a Conda that can do 167 ly jump to in Pho Aoscs AA-A h0 using only Jumponium and,
  • there is a Fuel Rat waiting in Pho Aoscs AA-A h0 to refuel the said Conda.

or one is using a Carrier
