Returning from break, question on Wing Surface Missions

Ok, I'll keep this brief..

Took a few months off, recently started playing again.

My main source of burnout was that me and 2 friends wanted to play this game together but found a complete lack of any type of coop game play. We gave wing assassinations a try, could never get everyone in the same USS.. it was a nightmare and we all got frustrated. Wing Trade missions are basically just trade missions only we talk to one another while doing them.

I heard something a while back about them adding 'Wing Surface Missions.' We all enjoy driving SRV's and all had an interest in this, but knowing how things tend to work they would likely be buggy or flat out broken.

Since returning, I have been able to find literally nothing about these with the exception of this thread where a Dev said they were super rare and hard to find. That's a great idea for a game mode by the way.. lets add this content and then not let people find it.. bravo!

But that aside.. my question is, do these missions exist? If so, does anyone know where?

And the big question.. do they actually work? are they fun?

We're not interested in the profit, we all have plenty of EC, rewards are not the motivation.. we're just looking to have fun playing together. Are these viable? do they even exist?

Thanks for any information you can provide.

Only wing surface mission i saw (forgot where I got it from) was a wing surface scan and it operated.... exactly like a normal surface scan. That it was at a High Security +++ base made no difference to me.

That's kind of what I was afraid of.

They're going to be near impossible to find and if I do find them it will just be a single player mission with other people that happen to be there too.

Not the answer I wanted, but I appreciate the reply.

Thank you.

What would have made it better would be if you had to scan multiple targets across the base, and the first one you scan puts a timer on, like with the Guardian Ruin beacons, or when scanning the multi-point beacons in normal bases.
