Powerplay Faction: Zachary Hudson Returning player, how can I help??

Hello all, just purchased Horizons and started playing regularly again. All I did before was trading primarily and a little combat. I recently joined Hudson and I am on my way to his headquarters in my Viper. I'm currently docked at some corporate station about 25 jumps into my trip to his headquarters (64 jumps total; started in Eravate). So how can I help, a little unfamiliar with Powerplay but I have watched the youtube vids about it so I'm not totally lost. So how can I help, can I do something from where I am at or should I continue to Nam (after I get home from work of course).

I've been playing in a private group server but have no issues with going into open.
