Returning players feedback.

Hi. I have recently started playing again and wanted to give feedback on my thoughts.
The game has a lot going for it but I feel kind of stuck on what I should be striving for next. I have the ship I want, outfitted with what I want and enough money in the bank to be ensured for a couple of deaths.
The thing that surprised me the most is how little the game has changed since I stopped playing one and a half years ago, particularly the lack of easy and dynamic ways to bring about player interaction.

What I kind of imagined were things like e.g. taking something like an escort mission whereupon a mission would spawn for another player to either also join in that mission or be tasked to destroy/rob the escorted ship. Or be able to track down people with large bounties on them through a bounty board, stating the location of the last known location of commanders with the top 5 highest bounties.
And on the flip side, being able to take very high paying jobs only accessible to ppl with a bad enough rep, such as kill this bounty hunter coz hes killing my business.

Why can someone avoid getting killed just by logging out? Just let their ship persist for 1 min after they log out if not docked at a station if, and only if, there are other players in that instance.

As bad as I think the engineers expansion is, it at least did something good. It made some systems have a large amount of players in it at the same time

If you have the ship that you want and outfitted as you want it, the next logical step would be engineer upgrades.

I think a fair number of people are disappointed that deeper cooperative or adversarial missions have not yet been possible (if are possible at all). Tracking people with the instancing system, and such fast travel compared to the slow server tick rate strikes me as problematic as well. You'd end up having to store lists of player IDs at each station, but if those lists were only infrequently updated (e.g. hourly/daily), chances are your prey could be 100s of light years, and many jumps away, even assuming they are actually still in game, and even if they are in game, that you are going to be fortunate enough to be dropped into the same instance as them. Would love to see something allowing tracking of players though, beyond just plonking icons on the main map.
