Returning to the Bubble: What should I prepare for

I'm finally nearing the bubble after being gone to explore the other side of the core since May. So a couple of questions:

Scan Data: I heard there were issues with cashing in scan data and not getting credit for it. Is this still an issue or was it more like an isolated thing? I'll have a ton of data and would hate to not get credit for it.

Falling Skimmers: I assume this is in both Open and Solo modes correct? If so, what are some good tricks to avoid getting smashed and destroyed by this bug? I did see one video of someone descending directly down to the landing pad, but hate to do that with heavy G planets.

Other Weirdness: Anything else I'm missing or that was buggy since the last update (that I was out exploring) that I should be aware of? I play in Solo mode and don't do any GC's at all.

I believe the issue with player stats not updating was fixed. Definitely wait for somebody else to confirm though.

Skimmers fall in all modes. You can either rush to land before they reach the ground, or drop out of glide a distance away from the base and wait for them to get down before approaching. Which is best is obviously quite dependant on your ship and how much of a hurry you're in.

No other new things jump to mind. The new fad of minelaying in stations would be worth mentioning if you played in open.

If you feel like dipping in on any conflict zones or other locations with capital ships, be careful around them because they have been bouncing around erratically and people have been smacking into invisible hit boxes near them.

Thanks for the updates. I'll just play around with basic ship then and get an idea of the time frame when skimmers drop, or wait above them and just following them down if I can't get to the pad fast enough without damaging the ship too much.

As for the CZ's, I had stopped doing it, but if I do get back into it when I return, then I'll keep that in mind not to get too close...

The scan data issue didn't surface for me a week ago, I'd been out to Beagle Point since April & stopped in the Colonia region to recharge my ship & offload the data from the trip.
All my sold data was credited. I always look at my credit balance when selling each page to be sure that Im getting my pay + first discovery bonus.

Well that's good to know then that it seems it's only happening to some people and not everyone then. It's just hard to keep track of when you have so much data to offload...

Well yes, there's never a need to sell at land bases at all, unless some very specific rep, but I never do missions based from land stations, just deliver missions from time to time there.

Also I don't do the GC, and I really don't need the credits. I have far more than I'll ever need and this haul will just add about another billion to that amount I won't use. But even if I did do them for the 3x the bonus, it would probably take me too long and I'd end up dying at least once before I go to powerplay 5...
