Hi all

I have now re-built my system which will hopefully help my VR experience as it was under powered before.

I am now running the below specs and wondered if anyone has a similar setup and can advise what FPS they are getting and if possible kindly advise on settings.

32GB
SSD and NVME drives.

I've got the Reverb running with a 3090. VR experience is very subjective. Windows Mixed Reality, SteamVR and in-game settings determine your experience.
If you're a performance nut you will monitor performance, which might disappoint and detract from the actual enjoyment of the game. Reprojection is your friend. Especially in Odyssey. If you ignore the stats and rely on your eyes, you should have a blast.

My initial recommendation would be to start with the VR ultra preset and see how you like it.

Edit: and don't forget Nvidia control panel settings set to maximum performance, not default.

The key to VR is finding a setting you feel really comfortable with. Maxing out settings is not everything. At one point, simply enjoy the scenery and never press ALT-F.

That said, your setup should give you a blast experience under nearly all conditions.

First of all, the performance boost with the TRX 4090 is phenomenal. The increased resolution and refresh rate make everything look incredibly sharp and smooth. It's like stepping into a whole new world. The visual clarity is outstanding, and the level of immersion it provides is unmatched. I've tried other VR headsets before, but this one takes the cake.

Even with a 4090 the performance depends on what settings you use.
I'm using a 4090 (Air Cooled / Undervolted) with a Ryzen 9 5950x (AIO Cooled) and Reverb G2, and I'm getting 90 fps in space and about 55/60 fps in stations.
I have every game setting on its maximum value, with HMD Image quality at x1.25 and Steam VR at 150%.
