Ships Reverberating Cascade - specifics.

Have some questions on the specifics of how reverberating cascade works.
(1) I presume it is exactly the same for mines and torpedoes - correct?
(2) Does it require more than 1 hit to disable the shield generator?
(3) If it takes more than one hit is that related to:-
(a) The integrity of the shield generator?
(b) The raw MJ of the shield?
(c) The class of the shield generator (ie a class 8 takes more hits than a class 5)?
(d) The rating of the shield generator (ie an A rated takes more hits than a D rated)?
(e) Something else like pure RNG?

All I know is that one torpedo, when hit, removes 45 units of integrity. I don't know how much a mine removes, but if so, that answers ALL your questions.
 
That is useful, thanks. So anything from 2-6 and you only need 6 for a double braced 8B shield generator.
min 7 torpeds for 8B termal double braced.
338/45=7.51
The only thing I don't know is whether the shield generator shuts down at partial loss of strength, as it does with the energy generator.

Just to add ATR use reverb lasers too, if you plan to encounter them don't build a shield heavy ship.
You can use the speed to escape, because torpedoes fly only 250 m/s, also there are ECM, PDT and shotguns with the effect of screening shell.

Ah! I didn’t realise thermal and kinetic resistant shields had greater integrity, better than reinforced, which in turn is better than enhanced low power. Useful to know. I doubt there are many 8B, thermal resist, double braced builds out there though.
