Reverse kinematics for landing gear

Something that might seem minor at first , but is something that makes the game feel less polished is the fact that landing gear does not adapt to the terrain.
I think that the use of reverse kinematics for landing gear would be a very nice addition

inverse kinematics?

I think so. For those who don't know what it is, here's a wiki. Flexible, bendy bits on the landing gear, basically.

+1. At the moment, ships hitting the docking bay still look absurdly stiff in the leg department.

I have no idea how complicated it would be to do, but it would be nice to get better landing gear, in general. If our ships could get a bit of... automated vertical flexibility, let's say... it might make the whole business of getting an SRV out of and back into a ship far less of a frustrating deterrent for me*.

*(Edit: well, that and the damn ship not landing three bloody kilometres away, every time.)
