+1. At the moment, ships hitting the docking bay still look absurdly stiff in the leg department.
I have no idea how complicated it would be to do, but it would be nice to get better landing gear, in general. If our ships could get a bit of... automated vertical flexibility, let's say... it might make the whole business of getting an SRV out of and back into a ship far less of a frustrating deterrent for me*.
*(Edit: well, that and the damn ship not landing three bloody kilometres away, every time.)
