Reversing Camera

I know we don't have external view, fly-by view or even slow motion action replay view(although that would ROCK!), but do you think we will ever get some external camera views?

Hell my car has them now in the good old 21st century and did does not give me un unfair advantage when I am trying to run little old grannies over, oops meant when trying to park :)

Fly safe & DON'T PANIC!

I agree! I'd love to have some external views. As a long time flight sim guy, I was surprised that there were none.

This would be nice. Not a 3rd person camera, but a couple of hull mounted cameras. Maybe a rear facing and a down facing? Could display them on the little screen between the pilots legs, maybe adjust the UI focus on the radar to look down a little more to include it?

Like OP said, we have them on cars now, hardly unreasonable to have them in the future.

I'd like a 3rd person view, what's the point of purchasing repaints if the only place you can see them is in the hanger?
I also agree that rear/top/bottom/side cameras would be great.

I don't like the idea of a third person view we can dogfight in but I would at least appreciate a HUD-less third person view just so I can admire my ship...

Or an exterior camera view that we can pan around our ship.

Also worth noting real spaceships have them like that to monitor damage.

I've been begging for this since Premium Beta, but it keeps getting lost in the 3rd person view debate and then ignored. For immersion you wouldn't want the same sort of view as the forward one, but a small screen - like the one between the pilot's legs for instance - sure wouldn't wreck it and if anything would assist immersion and be small enough and out of the way enough that you wouldn't possibly be able to use it for combat even if you wanted.
