General Revisit Multi-Limpet controllers?

Helpful discourse is the name of the game here. If you can't be useful there's plenty of other threads to troll.

I would like to know if multi limpet controllers are even getting any love. The only one I have seen getting any attention is the 7A Universal, only because it can output more collector limpets than a 7A Collector Controller.

I realize that the multi were meant to be a secondary choice to the primary limpet controllers, but what we got is pathetic. First round was insanely heavy, with no justification to their use. Now they are more in-line with weight, but cannot be engineered and do not come in class A until you get to size 7.
Why are they not similar to a set of the lower class limpet controller, such as a (currently absent) 3A should work like a bundle of 1A versions of their included controllers.
Set a max number of limpets, such as a size 5 multi controller can have a max 4 limpets, but only a maximum of 2 per type. That would be less powerful than a size 3 controller as it sits in a size 5 slot, but works as a size 3. The benefit would be a trade off of size and if you really need the extra limpet types. If you only want the one type of limpet, you're better off equipping the single limpet controller of that type.

To make it more direct:
5A Multi Limpet Controller
5A weight (+5-10%?)
5A power consumption (+5-10%?)
Max usable limpets: 4
Max per type of limpet: 2
Limpets work similar to 3A of each included type.

3D Multi Limpet Controller
3D weight (+5-10%?)
3D power consumption (+5-10%?)
Max usable limpets: 2
Max per type of limpet: 1
Limpets work similar to 1D of each included type.

Set the pattern for ratings of A, B, C, and D. Or possibly just A and D. Matched limpet outputs.

This would help make multi controllers more justifiable for those with casual interest, without making them better than the single limpet controllers.

After that, make them available for engineering. Then they can really be looked at for use on a ship that people would actually want.

You see all these people posting in support of your position? It appears you position is a single user position, as I said a brave move that only demonstrates no-one agrees with you. I guess you don't read the forum posts much outside of your own interest areas.
