General Revisit Transfer Time and Cost

I really like the galaxy being huge, it’s already unrealistically easy to travel about what do we have.

I didn’t and don’t like those drain covers (fleet carriers) but at least i can filter them out!

The sco drive I have been playing with, a test not unlike your first FA off landing!
Even that also makes distance a bit less meaningful.
I remain nevertheless rather open minded.
Pleased to see the game in such vigorous form.

I was speaking more about the long-range transport.

Premium transport would definitely need SOME degree of variability, and we can give it a degree of leeway given NPCs are given abilities we don't have, like the ability to plot courses for megaships which have much longer ranges than us.

But I could easily see justified 5-minute transport for anywhere within a few hundred light years, and down to half an hour or an hour from even somewhere as far as Colonia.

It's like in real life; if you want a car moved cheap, you can put it on a train and get there in a week. Or you can pay someone to drive it and get it there in a day. Or you can pay to have it moved by helicopter and get it there in an hour. But naturally, you'll pay a hundred or a thousand times more for the helicopter.
Well I read this bit of your post as referring to the current situation.
If you have a fleet carrier ready to jump, and you transport your ship into it, you can get it from point A to point B, across as much as 500 light years, in about 3 minutes flat. It takes a lot of coordination, and since you are doing it for basically one player at most it would be pretty expensive, but it is possible.
OK forget it, I see now you were just talking about how long it takes an FC to get 500ly with a ship aboard if you start the timer at lockdown and ignore how long it takes to get the ship to the carrier.

It is a game so the developers can introduce anything but why introduce something that was so soundly rejected before.
