As we all know by now, Ribena has had its formula replaced.
It now contains chemical sweeteners, and polymers to thicken it. There was a faint hope that the original version might survive overseas( here) but that is not the case. The shops have none of the original concentrate, and only the horrible replacement, in hideous new pale mauve packaging. It's suitable to stand on so you may reach a proper beverage.
Anyway, the Colonies have stepped up.
Barbados based Pinehill Dairies have a Blackcurrant concentrate juice, with no chemical additives. The ingredients list goes: Water, Sugar, Blackcurrants concentrate, just as God Almghty intended.

"What can you do with it?"
Edit:
My wife won't drink it. She says dismissively" I don't like grape juice." Grape juice???
I'm not speaking to her. She knows what she did.

Savor the black currant flavour on its own or add to blended drinks for an extra kick.
