Ride music - a specific idea/suggestion

I was wondering if it is possible to have music start the moment a train or a kart of an attraction leaves/enters a specific area. Like the vehicle(s) have a build in radio of sort. It would certainly help with my idea to create something along the lines of clips like Star Guitar from the Chemical Brothers. But it would also help make it easier to create an extra atmosphere on scenic rides where sometimes sound effects are not enough.
