Ride scenery should add something to actual ride stats

Also, adding Scenery actually DOES raise the Excitement, but only slightly. I tested this a while ago, because i was under the impression too that it didn't do anything. But not every scenery piece is weighted the same in that regard. Animatronics do more than static scenery, big scenery pieces does more than smaller ones. But you need a LOT to see a bigger difference. But yes, it works.

I guess I should be more specific. It isn't coasters that you built that I'm talking about. I'm talking about dark rides with very gentle tracks that are decked out with scenery and I'm talking flat rides. I placed a bumper cars, and then proceeded to build a haunted house around the entire thing, including path props. Net result? Nothing. People still almost completely ignore it.
Add ride sequences to up the Prestige rating on flatrides. Then you'll get riders.
Once they fix the bug keeping that from working -- until then, nope. [blah] It's been over a month now, too.
I haven't experienced a problem with it.

How nice for you. Not so good for me, joelallen, wowman, PAvanHooijdonk, and how many more?

A while back I had a River Rapids with low prestige while most forum complaints about it were that the prestige for it was so high nobody wanted to ride anything else. People usually put them next to at least trees and rocks, mine was in the middle of a bare lake. Added scenery, the Track Scenery Rating went up to High, and the Prestige went up. A Luna Autos that I built around the hotel in Chief Beef's Raceway had a Track Scenery Rating of Very High and nearly maxed out the Prestige stars on the first test.

But I haven't (other than triggered effects and the Queue Scenery Rating) spotted scenery doing anything for flats -- with the effect being as subtle as your testing found, "it works" isn't much.
