Just to say I was bored and thought I would mess around trying to get the rift working in Windows 10.
I read that I had to install the drivers: amd-catalyst-omega-14.12-with-dotnet45-win8.1-64bit
so I did that and then tried installing Rift 0.5.0.1 which just said display driver couldn't be installed. I then watched a video on youtube about creating an x086 shortcut in Windows 8 compatibility mode. So I did that and tried running it but it just closed instantly.
so then I uninstalled 0.5.0.1 and then created a shortcut to the 0.5.0.1 installation file and set that to compatibility mode Windows 8. Then ran it and it installed including the display driver.
And now Elite D works in the rift and without any clicking of x086 ovrservice shortcuts.
I'm sure this is well known but I was proud of myself
