Rift S + Vega 56 + Wattman Custom + Docked at station board = sytem shutdown

Is anyone else having issues with Rift S versus Radeon Wattman loaded custom profile (Vega 56 Pulse) crashing the game/shutting down their system whilst docked at station and browsing the station boards?

It also appears to be associated with rapidly rising graphics card VRM temperatures - so possibly a thermal shutdown (?)... It's clear to view the temperature of the VDDC VR in particular rising rapidly whilst docked and this might be associated with the shutdown. Even in default mode of Radeon with no profile set, the VDDC VR temps are very high and rise rapidly - but only whilst docked. And this is without stressing the GPU or memory with excess activity or heat or rising GPU or memory temps! I can't even set a custom fan profile in Wattman - without any other associated over/underclock/undervolt of GPU or memory - even this fan profile enable causes a shutdown...

System spec:
Gigabyte Auros Elite
Ryzen 5 2600X
Sapphire Vega 56 Pulse
16Gb Corsair 3000Mhz
Latest drivers
Latest Win10
Latest Oculus
Rift S running straight off MB USB 3.0 port

I'm guessing this is a weird bug.

Nobody had similar issue?

Anyway - I found a partial fix that has dropped the VDDC VR temps from 83 to 63 in default Wattman profile:

Disable Windows 10 "Game Mode".

This has enabled some overhead, such that I can now play the game with a Wattman profile of: power +50%; and memory to 850MHz. Without any shutdowns so far.

Eventually got to the root of the issue - it was the PSU that was failing, but only under high load conditions.

New PSU installed and all is working nicely, in fact better than it ever has before :)
