Rift Sensor Question

I think I know the answer to this, but want to check to be sure.

I often have to reset the sensor as I move around a bit in my chair during longish sessions in ED (roll back, forward, sit up straight, slouch etc.). I'm guessing this is just the nature of the rift with ED, but wonder also if my sensor placement might have something to do with it. As I have three monitors mounted, I have the sensor on a tripod behind and about 6" above the top of the center monitor (a bit off to the right of center). It's angled down towards my sitting position.

Seems to work fine, but as I mentioned, I do have to reset it if I move around. I wonder if anyone else has the same experience?

That just sounds like you squirming about changing positions = normal :) Everytime you move, you will need to reset the orientation so your camera viewpoint goes back to the pilot's 'head position'.

You'd see it if you were having tracking issues (jumping about, jitters, not following what your head or Touch controllers do etc.

I have to reset every few minutes or so - I actually just have the spacebar set to recentre HMD in ED so I just have to whack the keyboard and I'm good again.

All good.

That's what I thought, I guess I'll just have to learn to sit still...:)

I used to have the same problem, but since getting touch with the second sensor the tracking is much better now.

The only problem I have found so far with having the extra sensors setup, is that if my PC goes into standby, when it wakes up my roomscale boundaries and the orientation are all out of position. To get it back working right again, I go into the Beta option in the OH menu and do the reset, which reboots the software and the Rift. That gets it back to normal again.
