Rift + Touch $399 for a Limited Time

In Germany, they offered the same package (Rift + Touch Controllers) for 449,- EUR and I managed to grab the last bundle from one of the local electronics stores (they were sold out in no time). At that price, it's hard to beat, the Touch thing brings a second Constellation sensor along which is useful for the base package as well. It's really a game changer, if you can get it, grab it at all cost!

Holy crap. Bargain...

Must see if Aussieland has any such deals, would be worth it for a second unit...

Z...

Also I might mention, for me, a European outside the EU.
The price quoted by Oculus is the price.
There are no additional fee's, it's fully taxed, sorted and shipped to my doorstep for the €449.

£399 in uk

(or direct from oculus if you prefer)

considering the bundle (touch, xbox wireless pad and wireless adapter and 7 software titles) the argument it is too expensive is simply not valid.

total bargain imo, now everyone who has the pc to run it has no excuse not to experience ED in VR imo. :)

Sold out. I can only find the same deal on Amazon (Grrr...)

...and only 6 left at 10:44am (Mon 10th July)

Edit: Make that 5 :eek::D:p:cool:[yesnod]:O[alien]

Damn I would like to test these but no way to do that in my region.
Another problem is that it's a Hygiene article so no way to send it back after testing. I wear glasses with -9 diopter and I heard it's uncomfortable.
Only one year guarantee and only for the first buyer with the problem of lenses that aren't hardened.
Mmmh....

I guess I'm now invited to both parties...

That depends mostly with your frames.
Mine are thin and about 14cm between stems and they fit just fine, I can play for hours and not think about it.
Here's a couple of pics of how my glasses fit inside the rift

But of course, VR is definitely something that should be tested.
A lot of people don't go "WEEEE !" while driving the buggy around.
And spending any money on something that makes you ill, is no fun.
Unless it's alcohol...

I checked oculus' "demo nearby" tracker, and apparently closest to me is Hamburg.
Just 780km away, and a twelve hour ferry ride...

depends on your glasses.... if you have small rimmed (harry potters) you may be ok, but you are correct, in its default state the rift is inferior to the vive in terms of glasses support.

Caseking still offers for that price in germany to germans (including shiping). Did buy last evening :)
Someone in need for a spare Rift DK2?

Ok. This is the price point a lot of people said would move them. They now have 6 WEEKS at this price, so come on in. The water is great.

Oh! and as one who bought at full price and has no regrets, any" fence-sitter" who doesn't grab this fracking awesome sale in crazy. Even if you found you couldn't handle VR (really rare), at $399 it's cheaper than most pc gamer's gpu upgrade every couple of years and you would have no trouble selling it when the sales is over and losing nothing, I would think.

I like the suggestion of buying a 2nd Rift as a back up for the headset and those beauty Touch controllers. Plus one could use the spare sensors to increase roomscale, if desired. Like many here, I have built a newer computer for VR, but my old build can still handle most native VR titles so I could offers guests an in house multiplay experience. as well. hmmm

Was going seriously thinking about a Vive, but this is too good an offer to ignore. Just ordered mine with touch controllers from scan.co.uk in UK at £399 inc VAT if your having trouble finding one. They have stock.

my advice, get a 3rd sensor. of course, no rush so you can suck it and see with 2 but my 360 degree tracking improved with a 3rd camera

For Canada at least, buying from Oculus as opposed to a retail outlet your price to the door is quoted in CDN$ with shipping (think it's still free) and duty (nothing really) and there is no sales tax. Ships out of Kentucky in about 3-5 days. You avoid HST or PST.
