Right Panel Slider for HUD

I can adjust the brightness of my HUD, I would love to have a slider to adjust transparency.

Also maybe 3 RGB ones to adjust colouring - This is so needed to add more uniqueness it's not even funny.

Requests for adjustable HUD lighting and colours has an extensive history, FDEV have stated it's not as easy as it should be, I suspect due to bad coding decisions in early game development. It will probbaly only come as part of a major update, maybe 2020, maybe not.

i should’ve expected it was hardcoded...

that explains why raster images suffer when you tweak GUI colors in the preferences .xml

Yeah, my personal opinion on the origins of ED is that Braben started coding it as a tech demo to try and convince backers to work with it, and when they transitioned into an actual game they forgot about all the crap coding that went into developing the tech demo and instead of starting from scratch just went with that they had.
