Ringed stars question

I have found many ringed stars in high mass systems (aa-ah) orbiting black holes. I have found M class, as well as several neutrons and dwarfs. All of these are found in systems with the primary as a black hole. While there are O Class stars as primary stars at times in these high mass systems I have never found a ringed star of any type orbiting one. I also know of, but have never found, T Tauri stars which are ringed in these high mass black hole systems.

But is it possible? I've already found a ringed star in a BH system, but an O class star's bright light would make a better view.

O-stars with rings? I don't think so. :p
But T-Tauris with rings orbiting O-class stars? I'm pretty sure those exist, at least I recall B-class stars having such companions, so why not O-class.

Never seen an O with rings. That doesn't mean they don't exist. If anyone's found one, it'd likely be Allitnil or Jackie Silver. 😁

69 Lamda Eridani has an interesting ringed T Tauri orbiting a B class star.

In my current data, there are zero O/B-stars with rings, and 52 A-stars. So if anyone finds rings around an O or B star, that would be a first. Rings are rare around A-stars, but definitely known to exist.

I mean rings around a small star which is orbiting an O/B class. Which would be best to look in to find one?

O/B primary systems? ;)

You'll want to head corewards and just check lots until you find one or give up, head for one of the Borg Cubes (the obvious sectors towards the core that stand out because of their preponderance of blue stars) to get lots of candidates.

None of those 52 A stars are actually ringed; they're just located in the Fine Ring or Ring Sector. G stars are the most massive ringed stars, of which there are 5.

Huh, you might be right. I have these stored as rings but they're showing up with belt names too. Gah, the data can get crappy at times. ;) (this is what I get for trusting totals instead of looking at the actual data)
