I was listening to 'Seasons', one of my favourite songs, just last night. This morning my wife said "have you heard of Chris Cornell, he's died?". I was a bit spooked. Very sad, loved his gravelly voice, always full of emotion.

Such a sad way to go, and he'll be missed. I was a huge soundgarden fan.

Soundgarden were one of my favourite bands, and of the gigs I went to as a teenager in late 80s/early 90s, theirs were the most memorable.
