Wow. He will definitely be missed by so many. For millions he became a guide into weird and counterintuitive world of modern physics.

RIP Prof Hawking... I also read many of his books.
He was firmly in the 'there is no creator camp', so I guess he was OK with the thought of descending into emptiness.

Scientifically, he had no choice in the matter in the end.
Into the great unknown, he was not the first, but he will not be forgotten.
Most of his life he kept things and people together and experienced wars and turmoil. Rest ... in peace.
Mostly known for his books, but also for the feat of outliving the medical prognosis of his ALS lifespan.
A great mind for a great soul.
Now we can only sit and wait for the next great minds to show themselves. Wonder who that may be. What will they do?
