RIP Steve Strange

Off topic?

If you were a teenager in the 80's you probably would have been playing Elite in 1983. In the background you were likely to have some sort of music playing. It may have been Heavy metal, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, or maybe something like INXS or TRB.

The most listened to music was the "New Wave" (As it called in America) or the new romantics (In UK).

If so an icon has joined the stars. Steve Strange "faded to Gray". R.I.P Steve ...

Hello there

RIP Steve.

he certainly lived up to his name though.

He may have been a one track wonder, but what a track.

Oh man, I remember this and many others from that age. An era of creativity whereas now we have cookie cutter pop trash. Maybe I'm getting old. RIP.

Although you only have to look at how many times its been remixed to realise what a great track this was/ still is. This is the first remix I can remember too.

Last remix done only in Dec 2014, actually quite good as it's more orchestral.

Darn....

Fade to Grey was AFAIK my first Single back in these days.
Still absolutely love that song, its style is truly timeless even after all these years. A true, unique piece of art.

Same here. We were doing Punk stuff with guitars but we knew so many people with synths playing this stuff. we gigged together a lot.
