Engineers RNG can even screw up basic space trucking

Just got diverted on a cargo hauling mission. Instead of traveling to a station that is 20 ls from the star, my new destination is 227000 ls (that is a 20 minute SC trip) on a planet. To add insult to injury this is a mission for Eurybia Blue Mafia and I am trying to build reputation with them. They need to rename 2.1, it is not The Engineers. It is more like The RNG.

Yes, once I took a short haul to a neighbouring system and got a 300+ LY diversion into the bubble. It's only tense if you're focused past the immediate mission on a bigger goal. Just relax and fly to the new locus for extra credits, or abandon the mission and take a couple new ones.

I unlocked Liz today, and found her well worth it.

Bought a couple class 2 Mine launchers and upgraded them. Hi-Capacity mods. Got lucky with one: she put on a special. I got Reverb Cascade.
Tested it out with good results. Killed a Dangerous FAS easily. Shields went Pop! Then all the remaining mines took it down fast. Used about 4-5 launches of 2-3 mines.

I deliberately flew into one to see the effects: and they were horrible. Might have hit a pair? Shield generator dropped to 12% integrity, malfunctioned, and permanently stayed offline. [woah] Couldn't reboot it. I had cargo on board too. Had to scramble to get repaired before another interdiction.

I sold off my big class 7 Power Plant, and moved down to a size 6 - shaved 2 mill off the rebuy. Mine launchers use less Power than burst turrets. Python is 20 tons lighter, faster, files better, and drops killer mines now.
