There are no official details for ED in 2019. Vague formulations are not counted as details.
The only thing we know is that they announced that apparently they are in full production of the next major milestone for Elite (quote).
Having said that, I find this really risky and this currently holds me back from investing any more in skins etc.
Without proper future plans I can't really put value in that game, which is unfortunate. Gambling was never a good idea.
For now we are hoping for any kind of information and are hopefully recieving some within the next two months.

Buying a video game doesn't make you an investor: it gives you access to the game.
Similarly, buying skins doesn't make you an investor. Buying a skin... buys you a skin.
And eating a hamburger doesn't make you a cow. What's your point?
Ofcourse but the point is that I have a limited amount of financial resources and I'd rather spend it for skins in a game where I know I will be playing it in the future.
It's not about what I buy but why I buy it. I could potentionally buy anything and the most trivial claim would be that I'd buy it. Sure, a == a is True ... but obvious.
I think his point is that you shouldn't buy a skin as an investment into the future, but to enjoy the game with the skin as it currently is.

If this were some little fly-by-night studio no one has ever heard of, pushing out some ambitious project I’d be concerned.

this may be a while!I'm not really worried by the timing, we will find out soon enough I expect. I'm quite reassured by the fact their recruitment page has quite a number of dev/artist/networking posts directly related to Elite in the descriptions. Not doomed!
