I have to say I came across a station that sounded exactly like it was Daphne Moon on the coms.

It was quite bizarre.

That kind of weird not-mancunian accent that only seems to appear in American sit-coms? Presumably so that Americans can understand them, despite sounding like they were voiced coached by -Van-Dyke. What was really impressive was the episodes where the Moon family featured Richard E Grant and Robbie Coltrane as her brothers, two of the finest voices in the United Kingdom yet they still had them speak in ridiculous fake-accent.
