Robigo having more Interdictions?

Well, another billion in credits doing Robigo/Sothis runs taking about 13 plus hours. It use to be 10 hours but the best passenger profits have changed even in their boom states. With thousands of runs over the years I have seen a recent increase in NPC pirates looking for my illegal passengers...and they are getting smarter at it.

Arriving at Sothis Atmospherics I was fired upon by a Fer de Lance 7 seconds later! I arrive, start the scan, then immediately go to the Gal Map to plot the return trip. The map was interrupted back to combat. I got away but lost passengers bang scanned.

Another time finishing a run and my ADC was on final approach to Robigo Mines with seconds away from landing. A Fer de Lance popped in with perfect timing, scanned me then I lost other passenger missions.

This is with a dedicated passenger Python allied with every faction in Robigo, Sothis and Ceos and not wanted. No system authority ships ever bother me. So I started paying attention with passengers sending me messages. There are two.

1. They want me to buy then a commodity at a near base. If I read this message and don't fulfill it I might lose profits.
2. Bounty hunters are going to be looking for them.

I don't read either but start looking around. With a Python and see a Fer de Lance or sometimes a Vulture they will attack upon my arrival even if they don't try to interdict me. They are smarter. Whatever ship you fly and your combat rating the bad guys will show up in a ship not normally when you drop into a system. Look for them.

Other players have suggested that all I need to do is launch a heat sink. I'll be retrofitting my Python build per their advice. Point Defence missiles are not much use at the moment. Meanwhile I know that I can arrive at Robigo Mines, activate the ADC then boost fast to quickly arrive. It takes time for the NPCs to drop in. So far it works. Meanwhile I actually love that NPCs are starting to break up the boring monotony doing Robigo runs. Made me smile with a challenge.

Still Murphy's law works. When I have plenty of time playing the game the passenger profits are low. Never do it on a Sunday when thousands of other players are doing the same thing. If I'm tired and want to go to bed or have to cook dinner then 4-5 million passenger missions constantly show up. Go Figure. :)

Regards

My suggestion, and its a fix for a whole plethora of shady activity, is to pop a heatsink just as your scanned.. and keep doing so till your docked.

I must be doing something wrong, I've never had to submit to an interdiction during robigo missions and I don't fly with weapons.

I also never lose to an actual interdiction winning every time even in PvP. Well, most of the time. Know that it is coming, slow down your speed to just above zero throttle then you will easily be in the blue. Weapons are not really needed in Robigo runs because you are protecting those illegal passengers being scanned.

Meanwhile Robigo/Sothis runs work much better in Elite Dangerous and not Elite Dangerous Odyssey. With all those fancy new pages and graphics it takes many more clicks to get the same result. Loading up passengers then out and back as quickly as possible is the game. Odyssey slows this down. But you decide.

Back in the original days of Robigo slaving runs you could defeat a scan or rather stop a ship scanning you by opening fire. For that purpose I had some tactitcally placed class 1 turret lasers.

All that was required was to tag a ship that might be about to scan you and they would never start or complete the scan.

I didn't actually know this sort of thing was "back". Could you fill me in on the rough details i.e. where you pick up the missions and where they run to... :D
