This is such a sad thing to wake up to. What an incredible career he had, it covered so much ground and touched so many subjects.

He was always very open about his personal problems, its a tragedy that one finally claimed him.

But what and incredible legacy to leave behind.

My sincerest condolences to his family and friends.

I remember wonderful times watching his movies since the Mork&Mindy era...

I wonder why the happiness shown in his films was sadness in real life :eek:

Not much I can add to what's here already. Very sad.

Favourite film would have to be a toss-up between 'Fisher King' and 'Good Morning Vietnam!'

Very sad day indeed, imgur and reddit are quite literally ablaze with posts about him, never seen anything quite like it. Grew up with him on my TV so much, very sorely missed.

It's very rare a celebrity death really means so much and rocks so hard but wow.. feeling it today.

I was surprised to hear about Mr Williams. He was a clever and talented individual. He proved quite dynamic in some of his appearances.

He will be missed.

I just read that he would be death by hanging, with his attached belt around his neck. Some talk about his alcohol problem and cocaine. He had declared a day: "Cocaine is a way for God to make you understand that you earn too much money."
