General / Off-Topic Rock Climbing Documentaries To Watch

If you're looking for something different to watch then I can highly recommend checking out The Dawn Wall and Free Solo.

The former stars Tommy Caldwell, a highly respected climber doing insanely difficult climbs and follows his quest to put together the hardest climb possible on El Capitan located in the Yosemite Valley.

The latter stars a prodigy called Alex Honnold who has become renowned for doing very difficult climbs without any safety gear aka free soloing. He decides to climb a 3000 foot route also on El Capitan.
To give some perspective, Freerider takes the majority of top class climbers 4 days to complete, Honnold finishes it in under 4 hours

I got around to watching The Dawn Wall, it's a very interesting documentary and well worth a watch. As someone that does a bit of climbing I was hoping it would be more focused on the climb itself but obviously to appeal to a wider audience it's clear why they went with what they did.

Hopefully Honnold's climb comes out on BluRay/Stream soon, what he's doing scares the hell out of me :)
