Currently, the new rock decorations has a preset proximity on how close they can be placed to other objects. I think this has to do with the entire rock model themselves since they extend below ground.
My idea here is that, why not recode the rocks to allow them to clip into other rocks & be placed real close to any adjacent building.
If the dinos in-game can sometimes clip their heads or tails thru wall enclosures, why not do it for the rocks?
The rock decorations have the potential to be used as natural fences, considering the animals cant go past them.
.
Here's a quick example I made in Sketchup. PS: Dont mind the shapes.
#1 exhibits the current game mechanics in the use of the rock decorations. They have a preset placement distance in relation to other objects. They can't be placed close enough to form an effective wall, nor clip into other rocks.
#2 on the other hand, is what I propose. Allow rocks to clip into other rocks & other rocks ONLY. If we'd get this, we would have the creativity of using rocks as natural fences for our dino enclosures, as an alternative to the current fences, while making our parks look more natural.
What do you guys think?
