is there any point in trying to dodge in coming fire anymore? with turreted and gimbaled guns its a waist of time cos you cant dodge like you can with fixed weapons........ discuss. on another topic ive noticed when bounty hunted that sometimes my shields would very slowly drop without me noticing , seems the new thing for small ships to do is hide in the rings and only fire a few shots at a time then when i attack another ship they come out to play. silly people ive got a fully loaded asp and can handle 3 cobras at a time lol
I was accused by a guildie of exploiting, but I have a Razer Orbweaver (game pad) with keybinds of thrust up/down/left/right bound to the directional wheel. I found that reverse thrust while spinning your ship, yawing against the spin and thrusting to the direction of the spin will put your ship into a spiral that allows you to land every hit while denying gimbal lock to your enemies

Only works up to an ASP, any ship bigger doesn't have the maneuverability to escape gimbal lock.

Turreted and gimballed weapons, you say? I have one word for you:
Chaff.
Chaff you say? I have one letter for you "T"

As soon as target is dropped -- all gimbaled weapons become fixed.
