Well done sir!
Were all those Ivona recordings? Or, how did you get Amy's voice in there so much? I use Ivona Nicole and your vid was very inspiring.
Thank you very much for showing so many possibilities.
+1

No they aren't Ivona recordings.
It really doesn't take long to build up your own profile with commands.I wrote all the dialogues.
You pretty much start off with simple ship commands.Like "Landing gear up" attached to the same key you use manually when playing the game.
I found some words weren't triggering as I have a tendancy to mumble. So saying "speed 50" didn't work even though "speed 75" did.So rewriting it to speed fifty worked.
I lost my Asp completely due to "engine 25" being understood as "boost engines".My ship boosted into the landing tower and blew up.The repair bill was greater than the money I had and the insurance loan.I had no other choice but to get the free sidewinder.True story. So now I call it
"Engage Afterburners" and often the word "engine" wasn't picked up hence why I say "speed 100" as in 100%.
Once you fly around and have all the ship commands working then you can play with conversations or attaching sound effects or operating widget speaking clocks that can tell you your local time.I'm also going to to incorperate text to speech novels/books that you could have read to you while you fly around.
Anyway once you choose to make a new command there is a text box that opens.Clicking the right hand side of it opens a bunch of options like, use an audio file,or open up an application,or the main option for dialogue being the 'text to speech' option.
With the text to speech option you just write a command like "Hello Amy".That word use will then trigger the response you have written for her.For example "Hello,Commander, are you well".Don't use full stops as they'll be read out as "dot".
A comma works as a slight delay for the next word being read and a series of ,,,, will increase the length.
There are options to add pauses for example,
Engage Hyperdrive Amy (trigger word)
then you action the keyboard key you use ingame(in game my left shift key operates hyperdrive)you can also increase the length of the keypress.Sometimes 0.1 sec isn't enough time between keypresses.Requesting docking didn't work for me until I increased the key presses to be 0.2 sec's long.
As you know there is a 4 second final countdown before entering Hyperdrive.
So if you want Amy to say something else after the countdown you would just add a pause of say 6 sec's before the next scripted action. That way the countdown audio and Amy aren't speaking over each other.
So the 6 seconds pass and now Amy says, Waah,,, these vibrations are messing with my,my,,,,see sir,my CPU is shaking loose I can't finish what I was about to say
Once your happy with the dialogue responses just accept and then try them out.Play with the pause times until the conversations flow.
Think of a story with many branches of communication.Write them all down as you will no doubt forget them all.
Then just keep adding to it.Like combat chat, mining chat, exploring chat.It is really endless.
I only got Voice Attack yesterday.I'm no expert and operating it to do what was in the video was a piece of cake.
I'm looking forward to seeing other vid's and seeing what idea's I can borrow.
edit: ykza5 yes you have to find a balance. When I'm in trading mode I basically am just giving ship control commands and not having constant conversations. It was an example of what can be done for people that really want to roll play.
