RolePlay in ED : After fuelrats, Breakdown service, moving ship company

Allow user to do more services in game : This can be done with simple new modules !
Things like fuelrats are already starting to add RolePlay inside the game with a simple fuel transfer module !

We could do the same for :
- Breakdown service
- Moving ships company

It can be done by adding very simple modules to the game !

Let community do the rest ! No need to develop a very complicated system !

Breakdown service can :
- Repair ship with a simple dedicated module
- Bring module to a player. In this example a player was stucked because he replaced his FSD with a wrong class : He is stuck in his system !

No need to do complicated things with new designed ships... Just like fuelrats can do their service with a simple fuel transfer module, Breakdown service could do two simple options : Repair other ships with a repair external module or drones and simply be able to store module inside their cargo. A simple store option next to Buy / Sell would be enought. Then he just need to droped it in space.

Moving ships company :

- Moving ships can currently use a hardpoint magnet module to attach a ship like a wagon ! Of course it'll need powerfull ship with maybe few module in order to be able to track a smaller/medium ship, but a lot of ships are powerfull enought to do that !

Moving ships will then be challenging. There would need for wings to cover and protect the moving ship.

Shared profits : Allow us to do more things together for trading, bounty hunting...Etc.
Add a option so when you wing you can choose shared profits for trading, bounty hunting... 10% / 25% / 50% / 75% will indicate how much is given to other wings when you do the kill or sell the products.
If you are 4 wings and you choose 25% then it's a complete shared profits. Of course if someone change the option, it change for everybody. Let's think later for a more complete system.

This will allow user to recruit other players without needing a completly recruiting system !

This are really simple ideas that can add a lot to the game without a lot of work ! Frontier please add all of this !

anyway, this idea would be really difficult to make attractive to the repair guy.

The biggest win fuelrats have is fuel is cheap.

From what I get, your suggesting that the repair guy has to have the 'correct/replacement' module in their cargo bay. thats a costly endevour and since there is no way to transfer money between players, its a complete waste of money.

If however the repair module launched limpits that could jerry-rig/repair a module to a workable, but not perfect condition, enough for them to get home that would be ok as limpets are cheap. The Repair guy would need to configure the limpets prior to launch to repair a certain subsystem but that would work.

You could also have a toe module, that allows you to toe a crippled ship to the nearest starbase. Perhaps even make use of some kind of grappling hook/teathering system.
 
What's the point of going against a simple effective idea that will be loved by so many people ?
Most people have asked for a moving ship service and like fuelrats. I'm sure fuelrats people and other people will love doing breakdown service roleplay.

If we take the example of the guy that couldn't jump out of his system, he doesn't need an A class 4 FSD (1.6M cr) to solve his situation... He just need a 50 - 100K cr FSD.
C class 4 FSD cost 169K cr !

Who really care 50 - 150K when you can easily make 1M cr an hour with a cobra bounty hunting... And i don't talk about all the people that earn millions per hours.
I don't even take time to go get my 50K bounty at the next 8LY independant system...

I just lost 500K cr again being too greedy bounty hunting and it was not big deal. I made them so fast.

I would be happy to spent millions to rescue someone at the far side of the galaxy. It would be a wonderfull quest.

No really the cost is a no problem and i'm sure people will help others for free and will like that RolePlay. If they want a reward they can make a deal and drop something out of space.

Avoiding exploit for droping millions of cr to people :
As it could be exploited to give people millions, given modules to user will be considered lent. They will have like 7 days to replace the module by an other one or they will be wanted for stealing a module.
Once they replace the module, module money will be re credited to the original giver.

Problem solved !
