ROLL-CALL: Has anyone else noticed the on-foot game performance better after update 15?

My rig is crap, and it's been hitching and stuttering with Odyssey's on-foot content, regardless of graphics settings. The frame rates could be solid in the in-game FPS counter, but certain "loading" and clipping planes transitioning between areas for example, in the station taking a lift down to the docking bay, as I walked out of the "odyssey" area onto the "Horizons" docking platform, there was always this massive "stutter", even if FPS were never affected (rendering was fine), but my computer definitely felt it.
So it was never a "graphics optimization" thing in my mind, but how the game was transitioning between "game" areas, or trying to keep two game areas active at the same time.

Now after moving fdev moved core experience into the Odyssey engine, and moving the game into "live" and "legacy" modes, with update 14, I was hoping something magical would happen, and it did feel like something had altered the mouse movement felt smoother(?), but it still stuttered. So my drive to play the game has been dwindling.

However, all of a sudden after Update 15, the loading and stuttering seams to have been smoothed away, and the game is running fairly smoothly. I've sadly been playing Minecraft due to the whole netherite upgrade shenanigans of update 1.20, but every time I boot up Odyssey, I seemed to get freaked that I have gotten one of those random good bootups when everything would work, and I dare not mention it, in case I jinxed my performance.
But has anyone else (who had issues before) noticed performance being more consistent with update 15?

To me, it seems more or less the same... however, I have noticed less occurences of the frame rate drop you sometimes get when running from the turbo lifts back to your ship in the station hangar. I think there may have been some stealth optimisations covertly deployed in U15.

I haven't noticed any particular performance improvements, aside from the few scenarios explicitly addressed.

Well this is the time when it is loading a huge chunk of new area, so a hitch would be expected. It's also not an area where anyone would care about performance, like loading a cutscene, there's no need for player input so it doesn't matter.

That said it's great they put in some pre-loading assets, usually that'd mean they ran out of real issues to tackle (or they did it on the sidelines).

They don’t specifically don’t mention optimisation fixes in the release notes any more. I would say, On my 1660, I’ve had really smooth experience since update 14.

When Odyssey was launched, it struggling on my old 1050, and there was no way it would work with VR. However, the combination of the optimisations and an upgrade to a 1660, means the fps very rarely drops less than 60, and I’m enjoying VR again.
