RCT 3 PC Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 = Not going to happen :(

This person had an interview with Ken Allen and this is PROOF that there won't be a Rollercoaster Tycoon 4:eek:
Why???:confused:
::Below is proof::
Q: Do you think there will be a RCT4?

Ken A: In a perfect world, yes. But let's be honest. It’s no secret Chris Sawyer is suing Atari, and Atari, at one point, was suing Frontier for taking ThrillVille to Lucas Arts, a game originally commissioned by Atari (although I read recently ThrillVille is being distributed by Atari in Europe - something that would normally be done by Activision - so I think Atari and Frontier are on better terms). I won’t bore you with all the details here, they're easily obtained elsewhere. To be candid, from my perspective, there’s enough animosity between everyone in this relationship to start a small war. Will there be an RCT4? I suspect that until the lawsuit between Chris Sawyer and Atari is resolved, the likelihood is very small. But that’s just my opinion based on my reading of the news. Fortunately, in the business world, good businessmen make decisions on what is good for business and not by whose feelings got hurt. So who knows!

Still not happening. RCT3 and the age actually of corporate owned games is coming to an end, in fact open source is killing the entire for-profit software market. Just the way it is working out. So then how do you the software publisher developer get paid? Great question. I see a time in the near future when internet credits of some time will be awarded to those contributing materials that benefit the public. They could be food, buy a new car, buy a new estate or simple pocket money credits of some type. But this nonsense of a big publisher stiffing millions because they are too stupid to realize their customers and the cultural base they created, those days are gone. RCT3 with both expansions had a total of about 75 attractions. The open source game of TPB3D is about to pass 100 ride models with several thousand more rides in the planning stages, and guess what, you can mix and match parts and make hundreds of thousands of new rides and their themed variations and that is just the start.

RCT3 and the RCT platform still has commercialism to it, but at this point as I believe Michael has pointed out, that it is proprietary and owned by a corporation that has so far coasted free in sales while giving nothing to the community and paying the developer as far as I am concerned nada, zip, zilch for continuing free tech support on the product line. RCT3 is the past, the community making their own game with tens of thousands of developers participating are the future and we own the future, always have, always will. Like the missing beach scenario that RCT3 lacked we will have a beach scenario guaranteed...payback's a Beach :D

RCT4 .... Fahgetit!

RCT is a dying series, granted it is dying a slow death, but it is old, archaic and fading away faster then a RCT Carousel spins (and that's ;) pretty fast)

As for the other game...:D
