RCT 3 PC RollerCoaster Tycoon 4

If I don't get severely tongue lashed for this it'd be cool
But Why oh Why Mr. Brookes do you guys even NEED Atari?
Couldn't you just find another publisher or something?
Or are Frontier and Atari a combo package??

Would you want a really talented studio to fall in the clutchs of EA. Remember what happened to Bullfrog now Rollercoaster Tycoon is the only Theme park simulation.
R.I.P Bullfrog & Theme park

Rollercoaster Tycoon 4

If there is a new Rollercoaster Tycoon would it be on Playstation 3 I'd love to play something like RCT on Console instead of the usual FPS (we got enough go away you evil Genre).

I would kill to get RCT4 :D

I need it

I would probably go mad when/if it came out, and buy 10! :D

I would like to see an improvment in sound and graphics, as now, by todays standards, RCT3s graphics are quite bad, I would mostly like to see; diagonal construction! And the people should look more realistic and scream when they go upside down or launch (and put there hands up), or even when they go over airtime hills, as at the moment they only scream a round tight corners and hills, and put there hands up up the hill, or randomly...
The screaming sounds so fake on RCT3 as well.
I think the characters should be seen getting into the seats too, as it really annoys me how quickly people get loaded in RCT4.

While RCT4 is a deam still...

With nearly 50 rides officially done and in the repository, the FRCS in TPB3D has had a first successfuly compile and is a few weeks away from a release. For those who doubted this community, we are here to stay and we will make it go further then TORCG ever did. By the way Spanky, it isn't a sebar-game, just to set the record straight. It's your game and everyone elses as it is free and open source. The almost fifty ride barrier will be broken next week I believe as we race towards 60 rides. My only regret is that we had to make tpb3d in the first place. "IF" Atari had just listened to their customers, we would have had RCT and 6 expansions by now besides a friendly importer for the community too. Or perhaps Frontier would have made a new game called Frontier land and given the community what they wanted as Frontier published a game for the abandoned and long waiting and very loyal Atari RCT3 base or as we like to call them TORCG "That Other Roller Coaster Game"!!! which is quite befitting and caught on world wide, a sebar original ;) coined phrase.

Here is a ride in our ride repository by the many modelers for our game...enjoy.

A real full sized carousel with a small carousel, Double Decker Carousel and Grand Carousel following very soon. Animal pack #1 is on this carousel, polys aren't bad either. We will have most likely about 4 or 5 animal packs for the FRCS Ridemaking community to use.

Yeah I'd love to see RCT3 have many more rides too, more rides, more features, more everything, bigger and better. I would love to see RCT3 have rides like this...

A Traver Circle Swing type ride...

Or maybe a Spider type ride with real spinning Pods and Tubs.

But alas my friends, we shall never get there, not even by retro Monorails.

They look good I want them in RCT4 if they make it.

One of the major reason's why RCT3 has gone much further...

Could actually be, because of the third community items. Think about it for a second. What if you had an entire community that made everything for your game for free. Why would you then ever need a developer. I mean, Atari is selling RCT3 mainly based on not only Frontier's noble original work and efforts, but a much more involved community cranking out tons of new scenery and soon I suspect, ride add-on's. How much longer will it go past there when they start making code mods for your game so that you can make the game act differently? So in a sense, the incentive for an RCT3 expansion isn't necessarily in the interests of the publisher when they have to lay out $0.00 in money to develop the game further. That coupled with the Chris Sawyer suit and the costs to develop an aging platform are probably not worth it for Atari.

Now would I like to see an RCT4 or more official expansions, yes, of course, and I would like to see other competitive games like RCT3 as well. But the reality remains that it probably will not happen any time soon, especially when the very user community is making expansions for the existing game that costs the publisher nothing at all, except to create more boxes for sale. The one's really getting stiffed here actually are the developers who depend on being able to create more expansion add-ons. While there is room for the community to participate, the developers at Frontier are essentially shut out of the process, because the community has removed that from them.

I hope RCT4 comes out becuse I like RCT games.

Well unfortunately while I would hope they came out with it too, it doesn't look like they will at this point. Of course I am not privy to Atari's decisions so whatever they do, I am sure it will be dictated by the market demands versus sales.

Nothing against you or your team Sebar, but I don't beleive a word you spout off at this point.

Actually it is happening my friend. We have coding seriously progressing forward and a flood of rides, our owned sound recordings of real rides and hundreds heading to thousands of your friends all as developers on different levels from sound to modelers to coders and graphic arts people. The momentum is on our side now and we are all having a ball with this. It is like in the early days of RCT when Chris first gave us RCT1 back in 1999. But there is a major and fundamental difference, whether you want to admit it or not. Unlike TORCG, you and I and billions own this game. It's ours to make or break.

Now RCT3, erhmmm, excuse me...TORCG  (That Other Roller Coaster Game) can make a comeback, but I rather doubt it. Besides treating their customers who paid to use the product rather poorly, erhmmm, excuse me, I meant to say horribly for making them the game of the year, they also stiffed Frontier too. If I was Frontier I'd ask them for all the tech support costs that Frontier has donated free of charge for a dying productline. I guess that is my take on all of this as the dev is as much a victim as the customers or end users have been. But that will be rectified soon, it's happening faster then many even realize and it is only speeding up.
