Rolling Stones Challenge.

As an oldie, I had a thought on my way out into the distant reaches of the Galaxy....
I remembered the old Rolling Stones song and this quote from it -
"It's so sad and lonely, I'm 10,000 light years from home"
And I thought to myself, let's see how near to 10k ly from Sol I can get?
This is my latest effort - pretty close.

But can anyone do better? Just a bit of fun, something for you to think about on your way to (or from) home....

Oh heck, you're right! Another case of miss-remembered lyrics...
The song is called "2,000 light years from home" and the lyrics mention 100, 600, 1000 and 2000, but don't get to 10. I should have listened to it first!
Looking on the bright side, it's much easier to get 2000 from home than it is 10000! I'll have to try that on the way back.
My only excuse is calling it another "senior moment".....

The galaxy has gotten smaller since then! 10,000 is a nice round figure so why not stick with that?

I don't call Sol home...I grew up in Lave.

I'm currently ~1.3k LY from Lave...I'll see how close I can get to 10.0k as I continue my journey outwards towards the Galactic rim. (Assuming the servers regain something vaguely resembling stability again so I dare to play. LOL )
